The Social Network Harvester supports the harvest of YouTube videos. In addition to individual videos, an entire channel can now be secured. In addition, the linked channels of a YouTube channel can be saved and visualized as “friends”.
The following is possible with the SNH YouTube module:
- Save indivudual video files with:
- video description
- thumbnail
- comments
- Save linked channels of a YouTube channel (1st and 2nd level)
- Save all videos from a YouTube channel with:
- video description
- thumbnail
- comments
- in a certain period of time
SNH YouTube-project files have the file extension .SNY
Representation in SNH
In SNH, each saved video is displayed as a post in the Postingexplorer.
- Date of contribution: Date of publication of the video
- Post title: Title of the video
- Text of contribution: Video description
The video thumbnail is displayed in the Media explorer.
Comments
SNH backs up all comments and the respective comment responses.
The duration of data collection is strongly dependent on the number of video comments.
